Dogs must be up to date on Rabies, Distemper & Parvo.
Bordatella (kennel cough) is optional based on your vet's recommendation.
We do understand there are dogs that cannot be vaccinated due to health or age, so let's discuss your vet's recommendation.
We do not require you to use preventative, but dogs must not have any fleas or ticks.
Site Visits (by appointment only and weather permitting) are NOT REQUIRED if after our 1st conversation, we determine that your dog is a good fit. TEXT Julie @ 512-789-0697 to schedule.
A leash, food, instructions for how much to feed at each feeding, and a bed if your dog wants one. Please note that due to the environment, , your dog's bed will likely get dusty, hairy and dirty from the stay, so don't send a super expensive bed! We do not use customer supplied toys or bones for safety reasons.
We normally do not feed treats during boarding.
Yes - but that service usually only makes sense if we are already in the area on the day and time you need pickup and delivery. Call to discuss - 512-789-0697.
No, unless they are extremely dirty or do not smell good. Expect them to come home dusty and a little dirty - after all they're playing with other dogs on our acreage. We do not groom or bathe dogs, so if you want to book an appointment with your groomer after a long stay, that will ensure your dog returns home clean!
YES just bring it in an ice chest if it needs to be refrigerated (w will put it in fridge or freezer when you arrive and keep your ice chest for leftovers when they checkout).
Yes we will dispense meds to your dog as long as it does not require needles or anything too difficult.
Pill pockets are our preference over peanut butter or cheese for pills. It's less messy and no refrigeration.
We have a very close relationship with our vet Dr. Benji Alldredge (Alldredge Veterinary Services which I highly recommend!) to determine the best course of action.
If after hours or they do not answer our text, we contact Hill Country Emergency Animal Hospital in Boerne.
We also immediately call you to allow you be involved in decisions.
It's always better to have your dog check-in earlier in the day, rather than evening, if it's their first time, so they can get acquainted with the place and the other dogs that are boarding. If they've been here before, this is less of a concern.

Weekdays: 8 am to 5:30 pm
Saturdays: 8 am - 5 pm
Sundays: 8 am - 9 am or 4-5 pm

Holiday hours vary!
We take the dogs out at 8 am for their morning walk and play and feed them before 9 am.
Then they relax for an hour before they can play again.
We follow a schedule of offleash walks and play times with other dogs for the rest of the day and usually have dinner around 5 pm.
After dinner, we take walks outside together or they can relax and hang-out in the dog room with access to the doggie door into a small fenced are that allows them to stretch and potty when they are not out on walks.
There are some dogs that need to be crated over night and we decide that based on how they progress with earning their privileges. New dogs "earn" their privileges by showing us that they will be "safe" with each privilege.
Yes, we post on our Facebook page under Hill Country K9 Club videos and pictures.
You are always welcome to text or call us for an updated status of how your dog is doing!
We take checks (to Julie Brooks), cash or Venmo (an app that allows you to use a credit card or pay directly from your bank account.
Payment is due at checkout.
During peak times (4th of July, Christmas to New Year's, Thanksgiving), we do need advance reservations because we are usually full. We may require deposits for the peak seasons.
