Hi, I’m Julie Brooks — founder of Hill Country K9 Club and lifelong dog lover.
In 2009, after a successful career as a mechanical engineer in the semiconductor industry, I followed my heart and stepped into a completely new adventure: creating a safe, joyful, and natural boarding experience for dogs in the
Texas Hill Country.
I’ve always believed dogs deserve more than a cold kennel and a concrete floor. I started this business because I wanted to give dogs a better boarding experience — one filled with sunshine, socialization, and safety.
No rows of cages. No lonely days. Just a relaxed, loving environment where well-socialized dogs can play, rest, and feel like they’re part of a pack.
At Hill Country K9 Club, your pup gets to be a dog — interacting naturally with others, enjoying fresh air and freedom, and going home tired, happy, and stress-free.
With 16 years of experience and over 2,500 dogs served, I’ve developed a deep understanding of dog behavior and pack dynamics.
Our techs lives on-site and we work as small eam to care for the dogs ourselves — which means your pup is never left alone with strangers or shuffled between staff.
This is personal for us. We care for each dog as if they were our own.

Our Core Values
At Hill Country K9 Club, we are driven by faith, integrity, and personalized care.
We believe dogs thrive when they’re treated with love, structure, and trust.
We believe pet parents deserve a boarding experience that brings peace of mind — knowing their dog is not only safe, but also happy and emotionally fulfilled.
A core belief I hold about my industry is that dogs should never be treated like luggage. I believe that true dog care means creating an environment that supports their nature — to sniff, run, play, nap, and bond.
And above all, I believe that Jesus is Lord, and His love compels us to serve both people and animals with compassion, joy, and excellence.
That’s what guides everything we do here.
I know how important it is to find the right place for your dog — someone you can trust, who asks the right questions, and treats your pup like family.
